This week on WG TV Erin shares hints and tips on how to build the perfect ice bucket for chilling wine.
MacMurray Ranch, Pinot Noir, Sonoma Coast, 2007, California, USA
With the holiday season fast approaching it is always great to know a few great wines to keep on hand for whenever the entertaining mood hits. The MacMurray Ranch, Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir is both a food and people friendly wine so it’s sure to be a hit when ever you open a bottle.
This wine is filled with the soft ripe fruit flavours of red cherries, currants and strawberries along with hints of black tea, herbs and just a touch of earth. It’s such an easy wine to sip and enjoy! It is also one of the best values out there for Pinot Noir that I know of retailing between $19.00 – 24.00 Can.
Some ideas to enjoy this wine with are – great friends, cheese plates, roast chicken, halibut or salmon, and dark chocolate. This wine is a great wine to serve at for a cocktail party where people will be munching on an assortment of different food styles for the evening, Enjoy!
Please note that the 2004 label has been used in this review.
