This week on WG TV Erin shares a fun overview from the first episode in the Wine in the Kitchen series – the Basics of Wine
Meet the Wine Girl
Erin Rosar is a rare vintage, indeed. She’s a widely renowned sommelier, yet she insists that wine should be fun and user friendly. That thinking led her to create Wine Girl (WG), a kind of alter ego who is gradually spreading the message of wine’s enjoyment to the masses.
Rosar’s enthusiasm for wine is undeniable and so is her expertise. An instructor with the International Sommelier Guild, where she teaches at all levels including the highest level of the Sommelier Diploma, Rosar is also a recognized sommelier with the Court of Master Sommeliers out of London, England.
Because she likes talking about wine just as much as she loves sampling it, Rosar is in constant demand. She’s a popular speaker at events across Canada and has served as a judge for the Wine Access Value Wine Awards.
Rosar is also the founder of WG Wines Consulting Inc. of Calgary and its website www.wgwines.com, where Wine Girl has a home. She hosts many private and corporate events as well.
Wine Girl is quickly becoming a voice that women all over Canada turn to to learn about wine. In addition to a weekly newsletter packed with wine reviews, recipes, restaurant and travel information and video tutorials, Rosar speaks on local radio in Calgary, and regularly contributes to SweetSpot.ca.
Sharing her passion for the world’s wines with her audiences – students, clients and readers — is what Rosar does best. And she always does it in a style that makes learning about wine a lot more fun.
