Secrets of the Trade
The trade secret page is a fun place for you to come and check out what hints I and my friends have about wine and food topics. If you have any great hints that you’d like to share I would love to hear from you!
Wine Hint –
Many people serve wines too cold. White wines do need to be chilled but when you serve a wine below 6 degrees Celsius it loses some of its ability to lift all of its aromas up to your nose, so keep wines chilled but not too cold, or you might miss some of the wine’s great nuances.
Serve sparkling wine well chilled, though, especially when opening; sparkling wine styles are more volatile when they’re warmer and can quickly become a wine volcano when opened warm.
