This week on WG TV Erin shares a fun overview from the first episode in the Wine in the Kitchen series – the Basics of Wine
Wild Rose Wraspberry Ale
Here is a fun beer to enjoy in your glass this summer. Made by the Wild Rose Brewery in Calgary, this beer is made with whole bunches of raspberries and contains no artificial colours or flavours. This ale has a rich honey colour in the glass with just a hint of rose to it – and on the nose you will pick up the softest scent of fresh raspberries. It is important to note that this is not a sweet fruit beer, but rather an ale with a touch of fresh fruit flavour. I like to serve this beer a bit warmer so the flavours come alive, but served chilled on a warm patio it is a wonderful way to enjoy a hot summer day. The raspberry flavour is subtle, so it is not too overpowering. I personally love the way it finishes with the flavour of berries in my mouth after I have finished my sip! Enjoy this beer with a great grilled hamburger in the sun with great company!
